I agree. And welcome to the thread. You sound like you know quite a bit about this business. Is that from being an investor in Encad, or are you in the printing business?

Since you obviously know Encad quite well, I wonder if you might share your thoughts on the their Chroma 24, which is a much slower printer than the P5000, but sells for under $3,000. Is throughput the main difference between these printers, or are there other major performance differences as well? What proportion of the market is time-sensitive enough that they will be willing to pay 16 times the price for perhaps 16 times the speed? Does the end user market for these $3,000 printers exceed the print shop/service bureau market for the faster printers?

Sounds like there are major QUALITATIVE differences between these printers, not just quantitative ones. Makes me alot more comfortable owning RGFX. Thanks! SC
