that have me examining my bearish views very closely

From reading many of the posts on various boards, it seems many posters feel that we are headed to much lower market levels. (I realize that some of the most respected and "peoplemarked" posters are looking for lower levels in the market.) Some of the posts I've read are focused so much on any "negative" that can be found...without any consideration of any "positives" that might have an influence on the market.

IMO anyone who needed or wanted to sell stocks in their portfolio should have already sold. Those who are holding (long term buy and hold investors...not traders) are seeing the market gradually rising. Wouldn't a rising market attract more buyers by those who want to add stocks at what they perceive as a bottom in the market? I would think that people who recently funded their IRA accounts might be new buyers in the market?

It seems to me that "buy the dip" is back in style...either that, or there are still a lot of buyers who are short and want to cover their short positions.
