PB, re lead. They didn't give detail on mother's IQ etc and adjust for confounding variables, such as poor people have lower IQ and live in houses with lead paint pollution giving higher blood lead.

The lead vs IQ studies I saw a couple of decades ago showed something like 1 IQ point due to lead pollution in the 15 microgram per decilitre range, which is where most people were in urban areas with lead in petrol.

The lead in the petrol did about 0.3 IQ points damage.

Lead in petrol was one of the more stupid things which humans did last century. A stupid thing which made us stupider.

I want to see how much brain damage I got from all the mercury in my teeth! The dental guild denies they destroyed umpty petatrillion brain cells around the world. All that was needed was more vitamin C etc, not toxic fillings.

I've never seen IQ vs mercury studies.
