Ed - see my prior post to you. I agree that Iraq was no real de facto threat to Israel. Without US pressure, Israel might have destroyed Iraq on its own after being threatened. Most of the world and the US is very happy that Israel destroyed Iraq nuclear capacity 15+ years ago but, at the time, was critical along with most of the world.

This war was not for Israel. There is no compelling argument and you seem to agree.
