Spring floods: AO MOSENERGO ensures reliable power supply in the Moscow region

Despite the snow melting in the Moscow region proceeding rather calmly, the situation requires special attention to equipment operation, technical water supply and facilities technical condition. AO MOSENERGO has introduced round-the-clock monitoring for its workers and emergency teams. They check that no stray objects get into water supply chains with melting snow. As a result of proper organization and timely preparation, the melting from the start of the season caused not a single breakdown.

As of April 17, the Moscow River levels were within the norm. The situation inside Moscow is normal. The highest water levels were recorded on April 11-12. On these days the normal levels were exceeded by 30-70 cm.

The water level on the Oka River in the area of Kashira and Stupino so far continue to rise. Presently, they are 4.5 m. This is considerably lower than the average reading, which is 8.5 m.

Klyazma River levels rose by 3 m, which is also within the norm. The average water level increase in the river reaches 5.5 m.

Unless there are rains, water levels in Oka and Klyazma will rise by several more centimeters and then start to subside. By next week the water levels are expected to fully stabilize.
