One thing they could do this time around is use interchangable/standardized parts to build the nuclear plants to keep the costs down. However, nothing of that grand of a scale is going to happen in our country. There's way too much NIMBYism, espeically regarding nuclear, to allow a massive new nuclear iniative to go forward.
