Government doesn't create wealth, its citizens do. The best thing government can do is serve as an unbiased referee, reduce its own burden on the populace, and stay out of the way. GW's policies don't go far enough in that regard, imo, but he's a darn sight better than anything the Democrats are able or willing to offer
