Hello Ginger

Nice to see that somebody else is interested in TBP. I still hold quite some TBP shares.

TBP has excellent products and a huge potential (just check the numbers of a broker study I posted a few posts back), but it seems that they have problems to get their name out to the investors.

The stock did also not react at all on the news (see below) that was released yesterday. Their partner, StorageTek is really a sound name in the business.

At the moment I just hold my (long-term) position and whenever they get the attention of the investment community, I am sure, the stock will rocket...

If you need information on their products, check out their homepage (www.telebackup.com) or send an e-mail to Mr Lynn Thurlow at
lynn@telebackup.com to get a investor package.

Hope we get some people in that thread.

Roger

News release from yesterday:

Partnership with StorageTek Canada expanded

Telebackup Systems Inc TBP

Shares issued 7,270,000 Jul 30 close $1.45

Thu 31 Jul 97 News Release

"Mr Byron Osing reports
TeleBackup Systems has expanded its alliance with StorageTek Canada whereby
the two companies will work together to establish a partnership offering
remote data backup services (electronic data vaulting or EDV) to a wide
range of customers.
In May an announcement was made on a joint technology agreement to apply
TeleBackup's technology to StorageTek's line of online and near-line
storage products. In addition, StorageTek Canada was named as a reseller of
TeleBackup's TSInfoPRO automated backup software which will be applied in
StorageTek's new mobile backup application.
A further project by StorageTek Canada and TeleBackup will also incorporate
the TSInfoPRO software. StorageTek Canada will now offer EDV services
directly to large corporations and indirectly to small to medium size
businesses and individuals via a network of service providers.
TeleBackup will earn a 40% revenue interest in the project by granting
StorageTek Canada an exclusive licence to use the TSInfoPRO software for
supply to EDV service providers and a non-exclusive licence for supply to
end users of EDV services.
The two companies have also agreed to a cooperative development effort
where TeleBackup will modify and expand the current technology with the
goal of producing a product family readily compatible with existing and
future StorageTek hardware and software platforms.
This new partnership provides the umbrella under which EDV service
providers can readily deploy TeleBackup's TSInfoPRO technology. Potential
service providers now have the choice of licencing the technology
themselves or reselling the service. This requires minimum investment and
will dramatically open up the market for TeleBackup in terms of the number
of entities who will be marketing the service offering at the retail level.
Based in Louisville, Colorado, StorageTek is the preeminent provider of
network computing storage. The company's products and services are used to
store, transport and secure more than 100 petabytes of the world's
information, ranging from mainframe data to client/server applications to
video and audio."
