You have been duped to believe in the "left" as a major force in this country. Most mythical "liberals" obsessed upon by right-wing radio talkshow hosts went out a decade or more ago. Even more of them went out after 9-11. Nowadays, the "left" represents no more than 20% of the voters, and many of those wont even vote democrat. Just rightwing propaganda artists picking on an out-of-style minority who are easy to criticize. You dont see Democrats doing that. And today's new targets are gays and Colin Powell (top black man in America). Real smart. Pick on every minority in the country and see where it gets you.
