MORRISVILLE, N.C. -- Time Warner Cable is offering a new digital video recorder (DVR). Like TiVo, the DVR is a computer that can record up to 35 hours of programs. Officials say you can also record two shows at the same time. The DVR is available to digital cable subscribers for $9.95 a month. -- off a local news site today. Whether the service is as good as Tivo or not, this kind of convenience is major competition, imho.
