I can promise you that I will never buy anything that comes from europe - ever. I doubt I will ever vacation there again either.

Do you think spite, or rage, or whatever, is a good basis for national thinking (e.g., the desire that France should not have any part in the reconstruction of Iraq)?

Or do you just find it the most appropriate position yourself?

Out of curiosity, do you not count us as part of Europe - e.g., UK, Spain, Poland or other countries which participated in or at least publicly supported the invasion of Iraq? Or do you not really see any difference?

However, I am impressed by your ethical stance. I am puzzled that you do not boycott all products of all non-democratic, inhumane and dictatorial regimes, and of companies based in or doing business there - as well as an entire continent mostly of civilised, moderate Western democracies.
Still, it speaks grandly of your tolerance, vision and rationality. I am sure that the loss of such an open-minded and understanding tourist will be a terrible blow.
