The BIG differences: strange way to compare France's colonialist occupation in Algeria to Israel's "colonialism"...

France invaded Algeria in + 1832 Common Era
Israel invaded Israel in - 2500 Common Era

1400 years before the Pals (Philistines showed up on the shores, coming from the Western islands, mind you)

When the Algerians started exploding their bicycles around supermarket (no human bomb, mind you), the French Army killed a million of them.
A million Arabs to fifty thousand French casualties.
That's 1/20. ( In Israel it's 1/2, ten times more - if you exclude the suicides as victims of the Israeli, which I believe you do not.)

So in Algeria, Arabs were killed at a 150 000 per year and in intifadaland 1OOO per year.

In Algeria, the total French colonialists represented less than 5% of the total population.
In Israel the Jews represent some 80% of the population.
In occupied Palestine, the Jews now represent 5% of the total population. Much more than in Irak, I must admit. Too much, for sure. My guess is that the acceptable ratio for the Arabs is one to a million, like in Irak and Afghanistan, which means that the Jews definitely need a place of their own.
Belgium is quite acceptable... Would you accept a swap with holy Jerusalem as the cherry ?

OTOH, the Pied Noirs really felt that Algeria was Frenchland. Understandable, they did build a lot of it: all hospitals, post offices, airports, roads, electricity... And they got rich too, "en faisant suer le burnous" "on the Arab sweat" which isn't the case of the Israelis, is it ?
