I don't know where the university research links I kept on it went. Anyway, I have said all I was going to say on this. There is a very good book which is on closely related topic. It will not grant you any predictive powers, but it will clarify some of the "voodoo". I think Barton Biggs was a fan of it (I read it before he did when I was in MS, na nana na na :) The book is called The Great Wave: Price Revolutions and the Rhythm of History amazon.com Amazon says there is only two copies left <g> It is a bit dry though if you are not interested in the topic.
