Yes, they ask a lot of questions which deserve to be answered.

The F-16s from Andrews that were in N. Carolina not called back immediately was an error in judgement. There was obviously a "what should we do" delay, and then they scrambled jets from Virginia.

But a lot of other good judgements were made -- they just weren't made fast enough -- just look at how fast communications occurred between all these different entities all over the place.
