PB,

Re: lots of nasty little wars, but the home crowd loved it overall.

Carl Rove, the evil mastermind of this fascist scheme
Message 18217298
has a plan. He's going to continue our brutish, as opposed to British, wars forever. He'll just pull one up onto the front burner whenever there's a need to distract a wary public or when there's an election afoot. It is unprecedented for America to vote out a pResident while we are in the midst of war. So, logically, Carl will organize to have us invading Iran in September or October, 2004. It'll be obvious to the 95% of the planet that lives outside the U.S. that this is a war crime. But in the U.S., the corporate media will package it so well in such a convincing body of lies that enough of the public will become rapturous with their flag wrapping that between faux-patriotism (aka rabid nationalism) and the ever increasing ability of the GOP to rig electronic voting machines, we'll have the greatest theft of an election the world has ever seen. At least since December, 2000.

On the other hand, if that plan doesn't work, then Rove will simply orchestrate to nuke the Congress on October 15th and declare martial law.

For Rove, it's a heads I win, tails democracy loses situation.
