I haven't tasted the Good Friends. I picked the GoLean because of the protein content plus it has two more grams of fiber and a little less sodium. It tastes fine to me so I never tried the other. I just eat a couple of tablespoons full at a sitting so the taste doesn't matter all that much.

Did you reduce them as a diet plan?

I cut the starches and sweets out of my diet nearly a year ago to try to cure the cravings and the hungries. It worked. I'm not consciously restricting food quantity--I eat when I'm hungry as long as I'm hungry--but I find I'm eating less naturally. I haven't had any candy, cake, etc. for all that time, not a bite, nor do I miss it, not a bit. I still eat tortillas, but rarely and in small quantities. Gotta wrap the fajitas in something, after all. I recently added oatmeal back into my diet. Had oatmeal for dinner tonite. I'm developing a savory oatmeal dish, still a work in progress. And I have whole grain bread now and again, usually with eggs. But I go for days at a stretch without any starch. The change has been good for me, best I can tell.
