Oh. Same here.

I asked my brother about it when his first son was born because I was really surprised that he went along with it. His reasoning was basically two-fold:

[1] It's the norm in our society, so if it's not done the little dude will feel different in that all-important junior-high period.

[2] It's allegedly painless. After looking up the "painless" method I think my brother was sold a pile of chit with a nice label. Take a look at this and tell me if it looks painless, will you? taraklamp.com.my
