Actually, I'd cut the Canadians some slack. They've been d**n good allies of ours over the years. They certainly are NOT France. Germany did more against the US in the Iraq business than Canada did. Why are they not on the boycott list?

My impression is that the Canadians have a problem: they want to keep Canada in one piece. Apparently, that involves giving the frogs the prime minister slot to keep them quiet. I've also gotten the impression that Canada outside of Quebec and the frogs are much more sympathetic to the US and would gladly have backed us.

They no doubt cut a bad deal to preserve their country. They will most likely pay a price for it and it will come apart anyway.

And at that point, I think the US and Canada both should break relations with newly independent country of Quebec and cut off all trade with it. Let's see how they like REALLY going alone.

That should include no overflight rights to reach Quebec. And Canadian planes, trucks, and trains should be allowed passage through the states below Quebec with no hindrance or charge.
