Later it will be something else that the bushies got wrong or did wrong like in the middle of a war they forgot about protecting museums--big stuff like that.
Mike, take a look at the transcript of the Brookings conference, the one Ken posted. Lots of criticisms. I'll try to find more if it helps make your day.
Getting an A+ seems to be your requirement for Bush admin. Were you so harsh on your students?
That's genuinely funny, Mike. I had not understood that it was one of my roles as a citizen to grade this administration, or any administration, for that matter.
I won't bore you with the long list of things I think they are doing wrong. But right now the big thing they are doing wrong is the restoration of stability, rushing food to folk, etc. Now, if they get it straightened out quickly, kudos to them. But they've bungled it to date. And caused unnecessary suffering.
Remember, Mike, this is their war; they chose it. It was not forced on them. Thus, on the one hand, they get the credit for the military doing it well; on the other hand, they get the blame for things that go wrong--right now that's the huge hit to global public opinion and almost all the after invasion stuff. But the serious part of that judgment is well down the road. Much too complex to do more than look at pieces of the puzzle right now. |
