I would let the free market take care of the options issue. If we are in a protracted bear market which I think we are in the use of options to compensate employees will lose its appeal over time especially if the stock prices don't go anywhere for long periods. The employees then would prefer higher wages in lieu of options. I believe the free market can take care of this rather than introducing legislation. Anindo
