CB - The Saudi's hold the marginal oil export leverage that keeps us in check. Within a few years of stabilizing Iraq and increasing its production capacity we will have reduced their leverage over us. My guess is we will need to keep a large military presence in Iraq for 10-20 years in order to ensure we can attract the billions of dollars of investment needed.
