Terry, It makes sense. We know the working poor keep the most meticulous records and have the best CPAs on retainer. <g> It's just another Republican ripoff. Or it is just a scam to get out of giving up any of the loot they steal to fight small countries and bribe their way into elections.

My own dear company is getting tough on reimbursement. I've had two incidents recently. First, I sent in expenses for a trip, and they wouldn't accept the hotel bill because it didn't say "paid in full" on it. I had to call the hotel to issue another receipt. Then, I filed for reimbursement for a class I took. I paid for it, THROUGH the firm. They handed over my check. But they required the cancelled check to prove it had been cashed. I suppose a lot of people throw things away and they catch them with this scam. But they are dealing with a world class cheapskate here, so no way, Jose. <g>
