There are actually a few businesses that accept it in Washington State. Also I ran across an article about the State of Nevada printing up $50 [edit: $50 million] of it's own money partly in order to challenge the Federal Reserve:

There's Disney Dollars already, but if P.T. Barnum wants to print some for their circus, they'll have to come up with an alternative to the naturally named "Clown Buck." <g>
