Tom B., Thanks for posting that article. The discussion of the "relative VIX" was interesting and provides good insight into one of the ways of massaging data to find statistical relevance. Of course, I've found if I massage the data enough ways I can always find the answer I'm looking for eventually. But in this case I believe the analysis, particularly since it supports my short position(vbg). For a few MDD posters out there who have seen my posts regarding my efforts to start a business, I am very happy to say that today my partner and I signed a deal that will provide for funding to our start-up E&P company of $50 million. Although that sounds like lots of money, in the oil and gas business we should have no problem putting that money to work quickly (g) over the next couple years...........hopefully putting it to work in a wise and profitable way for our investors!! So, I'm ready for a nice relaxing weekend and wish you all the same. Tom
