On a so-called "patriot" rally on CSPAN last week one of the idiots who followed Kristol had a button on her shirt that said, "Invade France".
There's the mindset in a nutshell.
Don't lose hope, tho'. The hubris is the result of panic of being discovered with their hand in the cookie jar and it's that arrogance that will cause the downfall of this type of tyranny. Along w. all the other lies, the polling is also phony.
I got a poll call two weeks ago, which illustrated clearly the phony numbers. The poll taker, from Salt Lake City, was kind enough to answer a few of my questions as well. His "hit" rate was 10%, so 90% do not want to be recorded in a poll. Anytime you have a 90% failure rate to capture the random calls your margin of error skyrockets, well beyond the bogus 3-5% range. Worse, those willing to be polled are more likely to agree with the president, and those who don't agree or vehemently disagree are also those who most fear gov't, and who are mostly likely not to participate.
To get a valid poll you need 1,100 people for a country the size of the US, if all randomly-contacted people participate. It is extremely difficult if not impossible to make up for non-participation, because you then need to see a trend in those non-participants, which is, by definition, not doable.
The polling pundits get well paid and lie their asses off, by omitting these facts. The media is complicit, and often are owned by the same company that owns the polling organization.
Bottom line - we will survive as a democracy, hopefully, as people see this polling fraud for what it is, after '04, when the touch-screen voting-fraud machines reach a level of controversy and educate the public. |
