War critics demand weapons answers
Pressure is mounting on Tony Blair and George W Bush to come up with evidence of Iraq's alleged weapons of mass destruction.

Coalition forces have found numerous caches of suspicious containers and stockpiles of substances but none of the finds have provided proof positive that Saddam Hussein's regime possessed bio-chemical arms.

Former UN weapons inspector Scott Ritter said: "Colin Powell is saying he knows where the underground facilities are - well if he knew it then, why didn't he give it to the weapons inspectors and if he knows it now, why are the US inspectors there finding it?

"The bottom line is, I think it's time the world and the American people know that we have been lied to by the Bush administration.

"We can no longer give the Bush administration the benefit of the doubt here.

"They have done something which, if they don't find weapons of mass destruction, constitutes a massive violation of international law, waging aggressive war.

"This puts the United States in the same category as Saddam Hussein when he invaded Kuwait in 1990."
