I suppose that's like saying it's better to be beheaded than to be burnt at the stake. I think it was Moe (as good a source as many cited by the resident nutcakes) who said, "Better to have a cold cut than a hot steak." Or maybe the other way around.

But seriously, I guess you have not read the numerous reports of rape of wives, daughters, sisters by Saddam loyalists in front of those they felt were enemies? You haven't read the reports of how they would hang some of these women upside down naked, particularly during menses?

I agree with you that other nations you mention need a firm dose of democracy and humanity. But the day is still young.
