To Hannah,

Calm down and read this.

"We'll call in the
VZLA National Guard
(GN)
to get Placer out, if it's necessary," says
Crystallex ViP Richard Marshall
-- report by VHeadline/VENews c Editor Roy S. Carson --

Caracas: Tuesday, July 29, 1997 -- Crystallex International
ViP
Richard Marshall says his company will call in Venezuela's
National
Guard (GN) to get Placer Dome off its Las Cristinas 4 & 6
concession
if the rival Canadian company and it's joint-venture partner, the
Venezuelan Guayana Corporation (CVG) decide to dig their
heels in
past the bitter end.

With peak confidence in his voice, Marshall, in an exclusive
interview
2.30 p.m. EST Tuesday, told VHeadline/VENews it's only a
matter
of time before the Venezuelan Supreme Court of Justice (CSJ)
rules
for a fourth time in Crystallex's favor and, once the ruling on
all 11
remaining points has dropped into the pigeonhole, Placer
Dome had
better move butt or it'll have it moved for it!

"Once we have the final CSJ document in our hands,
we've
got the full authority of the court to call on law
enforcement officials to get Placer, CVG and Minca off
our
concessions if they don't move of their own free will,"
Marshall says. "Frankly, I don't think it'll come to that,
but if it has to happen...

Flooded by some 500-600 telephone calls a day from worried
investors,
Marshall says he's "disappointed" by the confusion of the last
couple of
weeks during which Placer Dome has kept up a barrage of
desinformation, pretty much in the same way as it blitzed
the Supreme
Court with writs before Admissions Judge Maria Luisa
Acuna ruled 8
admissions and 3 onward appeals on 11 motions to the
Political
Administrative Chamber (PAC) of the Supreme Court on
July 15.

He says Crystallex's PR company in New York is building up
for a
massive information campaign to knock out Placer Dome's
Goebbels-type blitzkrieg and feels sure that what eventually
hits the
Canadian and US media will make things more understandable
to not
only Crystallex shareholders but other investors who've been
caught up
and nellied by Placer's circus, led by PR hack Hugh Leggatt.

"I've never felt more confident," Marshall says. "There's
not really much else to say. We've planned our strategy
well and we're comfortable with what we've got and what
we're doing." He describes as being in the realms of
"fantasy", CVG announcements that it's mandated Credit
Suisse First Boston to float $200 million for Las Cristinas
and says it's so much hot air. "Best to wait see if they
actually get the money without the Las Cristinas title," he
says. "...it'll be a trifle difficult, since it's ours!"
