I just read the ANET thread. The ASND rumor was started this morning by X208, who is notorious on the PAIR thread, so caution is advised. The company just announced a very bad qtr 0.01 vs 0.17 expectations. The conf call # was diconnected, but the thread mentioned a slowdown due to a major Brazilian customer delaying purchases - company is apparently in negotiations to expand relationship with that company Next 2-3 qtrs will be impacted, but company sounded confident (third hand opinion) about the longer term (Asia and Latin America). Stock dropped several points to as low as 11 on Wednesday, before recovering over 12 today. This may be just my cup of tea - good technology, good long term prospects, bad current situation, nice price drop (if you aren't in already), everyone on the thread crying, most bad news out (hopefully), and a plausible (but unsubstantiated) buyout rumor. I'm doing more homework on the weekend and may place a GTC below the current price and see if I can steal a bargain next week. Comments?
