I'm fascinated that you think FoxNews is racist & believes in an autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition.
I think the left is acting more & more like that in their politics & how they react to opposing POV's, etc. If anything, the further left you go, the more fascist they seem to be. And they have no problem acting that way publicly.
Frankly, I don't see that on FoxNews. The more I watch FoxNews, I am glad to see some moderation & balance than one sided, salacious hype & bias common to most media outlets. Sure they are biased to the conservative POV more so than most media. I think that it is so rare to see moderately conservative POV's on the tube, that the perception is that they are extreme. IMO, that's because it's being compared to the widespread liberal bias that has been so common on the tube for decades. Some people have become comfortable with left wing bias 24/7. FoxNews certainly would seem to be unsettling no doubt.
FoxNews didn't sell out the truth, cover up real news & report favorable propaganda for access to Saddam like CNN did for nearly a decade. And that's just one example of one issue, yet many on the left hardly lifted an eyebrow while they continued to lambast FoxNews. Go figure.
On FoxNews, they seem to be pro-USA, but give both sides to their stories far more often than most media outlets. I think that is a good thing. I don't want only one POV rammed down my throat, thank you very much.
Fox has strongly stood behind the rights of those who have protested, including Hollywood's elite. They have however, acknowledged that folks can freely express their opposition to the protesters if they are so inclined. And yes, they have shown the hypocrisy of many protestors when folks question their motives based on their actions, words & deeds.
FoxNews has not attempted to silence liberal critics or even their own liberal reporters & anchors. In fact they frequently have people on who are at odds on issues & give equal time to both sides.
However, I understand that folks will see what they want to see & hear what they want to hear. When it is contrary to their POV & presented over media that has shied away from the middle, let alone the right for so long now, well, Katie bar the door! |
