LindyBill,

You'll never convince me of any of it -- and, quite frankly, the administration does not care what I personally believe. What they should care about is the tens of millions of voters that need convincing of the same (without mentioning 4/5ths of the earth's population).

The only way the Bush administration will establish/gain any coherent, irrefutable credibility on this issue is to allow a third/nuetral party to conduct these inspections/investigations beit the UN, the NY Mets, The League of Women Voters or The Flying Elvises -- but not a self-serving occupying force.

Otherwise, the mustard gas or whatever it ultimately proves to test "positive " for is pretty irrelevant -- because WMD is classified as "weaponized" (as in available in the immediate and ready for use now or at least very soon.) As being a practical/genuine threat to those neighboring countries etc...

If the administration is going to try to make its case on a dozen barrels of chemicals sitting in the heat of the Iraqi desert -- as evidence of a comprehensive indication of WMD -- they better try much, much harder. I'm certain that if they had time/ability to scour the entire Iraqi land base by the very inch -- they would/will come up with dozens of parts, pieces, and clues -- but nothing to bring home the bacon.

Fact is -- given the resources and enough time -- I personally could find the makings/likeness of mustard gas/similar deadly agent in the basement of some yahoo in Montana or the hills of Idaho (...does Idaho have hills?)

Its unfortunate for the Bush administration, but they are the folks who raised the spector/anti, and told us all boldly & unequivocally -- in plain site of the entire world -- that these weaponized programs of MASS destruction exist and have ALREADY been identified/located on satellite imagery blah, blah, blah.

...I know all too well that there are tens of millions of Americans who will give the administration the benefit of the doubt (found or unfound.) I'm not one of them -- nor are the many, many Americans like/unlike me.
