WALPURGIS NIGHT

they meet in the circle
and forever it has been unbroken
because god is always outspoken
in the silence lies the night
most choose to ignore or even justify
this most hideous and gruesome of all times
not to say they're mistaken or even wrong
not when egged on by the ill-informed throng
and the sheep bay for their social systems
while those around the unbroken circle are just
simply keeping rhythm
within the yawning chasms of timelessness
marching ever forward toward destiny
and the church is just a front
for every ill-remembered affront
to human dignity
tell me again, where were we?
