Thanks -- I am getting more firsthand reports myself of people basically being told not to go to work. They are being told not to come to work if they use public transit services of any kind -- well, that is almost everybody in Beijing. The notes I get now are somewhat light-hearted -- as in, it is nice to have a break from work. If this keeps up the tone will quickly change to deep concern over business and the economy and just paying bills. This is clearly going to hurt China more deeply than people have realized, and it will have an impact here. I hope it does not derail our hoped-for economic recovery.
