having read the MS econ team for years, I think they are great but don't forget that they are mostly focused on the global economy but not the equities.

I see a huge possibility of a repeat of the Asia contagion where the misery in Asia forced investments to migrate to the US markets as a temporary safe haven. One has to wonder how much is being moved from hangseng and nikkei to the US right now.
