Good cartoon, Westi. The Dem Party is in major, major, trouble. Rove has done a good job of making the contest one of "Values" vs "Issues." The Dems are running around waving a laundry list of issues that they know energize their base, and hoping to regain power with them. The Repubs are selling "Apple Pie and Chevrolet" values very successfully. If there isn't a major disaster, the Repubs are set for a sweep in '04. The major thing will be 60 Senate seats. Filibuster proof!
