Cannot agree more. Most people in the West goes from one extreme to another. They were in denial about the change in China until recent years. But then all of a sudden, they realized the change, and claim China becoming a threat, as if China could become a developed country very soon. They forget that despite all those economic development, China is still a developing country in terms of health care, social welfare... and will remain so for another decade or two.

Now after the SARS outbreak, these people immediately jump back to the old China-bashing wagon. when can they acquire some balanced view point?
