HAIFA, Israel -- A group of investors, headed by Asher Brockmann, a vice president with Vishay Intertechnology Inc., is set to acquire Kulicke and Soffa's Israeli operations, according to a report at the Israeli business daily called Globes.
Kulicke & Soffa (Israel) Ltd. is an R&D center for a development center of Kulicke & Soffa Industries Inc. a supplier of semiconductor assembly equipment.
Brockmann once served as general manager for Kulicke and Soffa in Israel, according to the report, which adds that the investment group has already agreed on a price with Kulicke and Soffa Industries Inc., but the deal is contingent on due diligence, to be completed by mid-May.
Kulicke and Soffa Industries had demanded $10 million for K&S Israel, but the deal was reportedly concluded for less. Brockmann is not acquiring Kulicke and Soffa Israel for Vishay, but is representing a group of investors, the report concluded. |
