i should have phrased that differently: there is still a neverending stream of bad news, but it's all bad news we've heard a thousand times already. i'm not even sure NK setting off a nuke would be considered a negative surprise anymore. probably bullish if they do it in tokyo: they'll finally be able to say the nikkei has well and truly bottomed.
