Well, me and my people are too unsophisticated a bunch of rubes to engage in forestry. We only have had timber to sell in my family after we stopped sending our timber up through our chimney in the winter. Amazing - once we stopped that we find out some years later we can sell it off for good money. Gee, that free firewood that only cost a little gas and oil to run the chain saw and a bunch of sweat was actually expensive after all.

In the old days, the only thing we knew was too valuable to burn was our walnut. My first used car was paid for with one.
