<<<If negotiations do not work then we have no alternative. We cannot take the chase of losing a city like Nyc,
LA. etc Perhaps we have a bomb hot enough to burn up the radiation if they hit a nuke site. Don't these nukes have to be armed and ready to go off otherwise they do not fire and no radiation?
China will have to play an important role in blocking their terroritory with north Korea if an blockade is to work if
necessary.>>>
Looks like decision time to me. Big deal. Are we to have nuclear proliferation, distribution of material or missiles
to any so called country. There are some wicked leaders out there in South America, in Africa, who get so pissed
off at neighbors they no longer care for citizens on either side. Some so primitive they dont even know the world is round
Which is one good use for the UN, to spread the word of major countries positions.
If we have proliferation, somebody somewhere will make a mistake, have an accidental launch with no in-flight destruct system, stolen materials for making dirty bombs. Threats. Chernobyles, even with the best facilities we have accidents that spread radiation.
Only the US or the UN are in a position to stop proliferation. Can we (they) gain a consensus? . Seems impossible for the UN to do that, but still they should take a vote. And soon. Or do we let one more country ( N Korea) into the NP category, and then stop proliferation?
Both Einstein and the father of the H-bomb were very much concerned about what people would do if they developed nuclear weapons. What would have happened if we did not have "the bomb" is hard to say, we do know that millions of Japanese and Americans would have died and some of us would not be here today to discuss things. On the positive side we have nuclear power plants , with 70 percent of Frances power derived from that source.
So somebody was transporting anthrax to Canada on a Brazilian ship, which could just well have been some
nuclear material.
So we do konw the bad guys will get hold of nuclear material if proliferation continues.
If the UN cannot make up their mind then there is only one man left to make the decision , and that is GWB
Its a decision no man should be called upon to make alone
N. Korea cannot be allowed to operate without inspections. They must be pressured to rejoin or else ??????
