Yesterday I was rather annoyed with the CDC - they hadn't updated the SARS count since 4//24/03 - 213 suspected, 41 probable, total 254.

Seeing the delay in updating made me expect to see a big jump.

Today it's updated as of 4/27/03 - 220 suspected, 52 probable, total 272. Since I can't find the earlier reports, I can't tell which states the new cases are in.

The racial breakdown for probable cases is about 50-50 white and Asian, and for suspected cases includes a small number of black and unknown. More than 90% got it during travel. Very few need ventilation. No US deaths yet.
