"I think it's all for the better--better for both men and women that we've abandoned the model of the fifties.

The model of the fifties is dead...dead, dead and gone. To use it as a vehicle to justify or measure current role models is strawman reationaryism and well, unhealthy. Unfortunately, that is the only fall back that feminism has to justify itself. Strong, effective, successful, and God forbid powerful men, especially if they are white, in modern culture are treated with abhorence by feminism. Feminism is trotting on a rotted track with no competing contestants and no fans left betting on them to show, place, win, or even look good at the finish.

So can we move this past what you don't like about a fifty year old dead issue?
