Post Position - PacePosition - RacePosition

Ten Most Wanted, the Illinois Derby winner, and Arkansas Derby winner Sir Cherokee are the ONLY two entries which have races from more than five lengths back.

All the others want to race on or near the lead.
This similarity of style guarantees lots of traffic problems during the entire race .......
start - the turn - back straightaway - the whole danged race should be full of problems for most everyone.

Historically, the Derby is won by the horse with the best 1/4 run from the 3/8 pole to the 1/8 pole.

I suggest that a rewarding wagering method for THIS Derby will be to handicap the race as if it were an eighth of a mile shorter than it actually is.
