christine - i never feel silly, though i often am.(g) your brief explanation of free will and determinism makes sense. i have heard them mentioned here lately and confess to not having a clue. i read kant and neitcze(sic) and some others as a teen and found it to be a lot of words to explain what i consider quite simple. i've enjoyed your posts and alex, andy, skipper, ft, and some others that have begun me thinking with a few more words again. maybe even a little "wieghty". hey, would you mind trying to e-mail me. i can't send right now and i don't know if part of their system is down or if it's me (my computer that is). i'm curious to know if anything can get in. tia. jp
