The one reverse split that I have first hand knowledge about is the one done by AT&T (T) back on 11/18/02. Of course their reverse split was confounded by the fact that they also spun off Comcast. Anyhow-

On 11/18/02 I had 109.302 shares of T and no shares of Comcast. The value of my T that day was $1,476.67.

The next day they did the deed and I wound up with 21.8604 shares of T valued at $594.60 and 35 shares of Comcast valued at $875.00 for a total worth of $1,469.60.

I did pick up an additional 0.1946 of a share of T via a dividend (I'm in the div reinvestment plan) and now I have a total of 22.055 shares of T which today was valued at $373.83. My Comcast today was valued at $1,109.15 with the total value of both stocks at $1,482.98.

The only reason I'm up $13.38 is because of Comcast....not AT&T which is currently down $220.17 or -37%. So much for reverse splits.
