A sudden decline will add to other negative background (sentiment) indicators. But a gradual decline of the dollar does not have to have a negative impact on the market, except that it partially drive funds into other instruments, and of course, as I have mentioned too many times, the gradual decline of the dollar to around $1.18 to the Euro (which I have used for quite some time now as the target of the current decline) should bring gold to the area of $385 or so with a possible spike to around $400.
