From an investor's point of view in the short run you're probably right Paul... However, I am sure that MTXX is vying for market as well as brand recognition for Zicam and some of their new products. They are also going for more shelf space for Zicam et al...

I also suspect that they see increased sales as a win in hopes that they don't have to spend as much on advertising/sale next season. Who knows if it works out in the long run. MTXX may still be trying to figure out how much advertising is enough (or too much) during each season of the year.

I doubt MTXX will be spending very much money on advertising the next two quarters for the existing seasonal products... I don't know anything about the two new products to be released this year that Dan mentioned in his post.
