Wasn't it just two generations ago that we interned Japanese-Americans for ... being Japanese? The public hardly blinked back then. Now we've got what? TV news, 24-hour cable news, news on the Internet whenever you want, and hundreds of watchdog organizations out there keeping an eye on alleged "police state" actions?
