Woman, that book (and its sequels) has been the closest thing to a holy book I have known!!! :-)))

You may have recognized the phrase "dependency infrastructure", actually. IIRC, it was referred to in "Heretics of Dune", in relation to "key logs and dependencies" with the example of transporting logs downstream on a river, and when they get stuck, identifying the key log the removal of which releases all logs.
