You laughed all the way through what? That stupid comedy retrospective? That's okay!!! It wasn't the comedians who were stupid. It was that hideous (in my humble opinion) host. What on earth was he on about, anyway??

Actually, it was nice to see all those jokers twenty years ago. It's funny how old everyone looks now. And it was really sad to see Gilda Radner, who died of ovarian cancer so young, and Sam Kinison, who died in that horrible auto accident just as he seemed to have a chance of getting his messed-up, drugged out life back together.

Do you have a favorite comedian? I really like Robin Williams, Steve Martin, and Bill Murray.

Incidentally, most critics did not like the recent movie "Kingpin", with Woody Harrelson, Randy Quaid and Bill Murray, but I thought it was wonderful, well worth checking out on video. It's a B-movie, but a superbly acted one, with The Blues Travellers playing at the end, and it says a lot about overcoming stuff in life. If anyone here saw/sees it, let me know what you think!!!

Woody Harrelson is a very strong advocate of hemp. He recently taught a yoga class in Noe Valley here in San Francisco to promote hemp (don't ask me to explain the connection, because I forgot already, but he IS a certified yoga instructor, and an advocate of hemp and a generally rowdy spokesman for the environment).

Incidentally, I read a lot about hemp maybe twenty years ago. It seems to be a wonder crop, able to solve most of the world's problems according to some of its boosters. I have two questions--I have forgotten some of the wonderful things it can be used for, could someone please list them all, AND I remember some sort of CONSPIRACY in banning it. If anyone can comment, please do. Probably not you, jp, but doesn't it grow really well in Alabama??
